The following is an overview of the three cheerleading programs available through LBC:

This program is a great introduction to cheerleading.  Safety will be emphasized with beginning tumbling, stunting and jumps. Learning to work together as a group and being reponsible for your cheer items are essential skills for all cheerleaders. Pee-wee cheer will cheer at flag football games on Saturdays at Butler Lake.

Begins week of August 13th

Thurdays 5:30-6:30 @ Butterfield School

1 hour per week of practice

This program is the best option for athletes who want the fun and excitment of cheerleading for football games, while learning sidelines, halftime routines, and the fundamentals of stunting.  Every athlete will be part of a "Game Cheer" team.  Cheerleaders will also be part of community events throughout the season.

Begins August 13th

Tuesdays 5:30 - 7:30

Thursdays 5:30-7:30

@Butterfield School

*Number of teams will be based off of the total number of athletes registered for the season.

**All uniforms and warm-ups are owned by LBC, and will be returned at the end of the season.

This is a challenging and competition-focused cheer program.  This program focuses on advanced skill development in line with competitive cheer standards, and the expectations of the Libertyville High School Cheer program.  Athletes practice and advance their tumbling and stunting skills and compete at IRCA competitions.  Outside tumbling classes are required as tumbling is a primary component of competitive and high school cheer. The competition cheer teams will also cheer at LBC football games. Attendance is critical, please do not try out for competition if you cannot make every practice and competition.

If you are interested in trying out for competition cheer please register for competition cheer tryouts. This ensures you will receive all competition cheer emails leading up tp tryouts.  If we are unable to place you on a team, your cheerleader will be placed on a recreation cheer team. No late fees will be assessed.

Learn more about Competition Cheer here.

*Number of teams will be based off of the total number of athletes registered for the season and the number of athletes at each grade level to make the best possible teams according to IRCA rules and restrictions.

** Uniforms are purchased separately and yours to keep
